A lot nicer than my towel idea. Good think'n. Will be at the dealer tomorrow AM, have the dremel ready now. Thanks.
I don't have much in the way of head buffeting, but I don't like the air coming up under the bars. The lowers on the Lindby Bar help a bit, but I won't be using them when it warms up.

Guys, if you have questions please ask.
Great idea! My question is how much of a difference do you notice when riding and did this achieve the desired result? If this was a big impact, I think I will order one of these tomorrow.

Cheers.

Well, I haven't put many miles on it yet. Just to work and back. But I'd say drastically up to about 60 mph. Then from there up I'd say it helps about 50% maybe a little better.

The dealers will have them in stock, so there's really no need to order. They no longer come stock on the touring models like they used to...and they all want them so it's an item they stock.

The touring guys say that the before and after result is that they could smoke on the bike after the install of the baffle. I suppose if I smoked I could up to the 60 mph. Then it might get iffy.

But I would say it's a mod worth the $25 and a couple hours of your time most definitely.

Really, the only way to get rid of the last little bit of buffeting is the windshield lowers...and I refuse to put those on!! When I put my feet up on the crash bar where those would be, it's dead calm. I mean they would be worth it for a long trip...it would be like touring model comfort.

Has anyone got the black one installed? I would like to see how the black one looks if you have it installed and could take some pics.

Thanks,
Chris

I didn't ask for your opinion! Find another place to spout off about your insecurities! I asked for someone to post a pic of the black one on their bike if they had it. In case you haven't realized it black looks different on a bike then chrome.
