Can I confirm that someone has removed the emblem off a denim black tank.
I thought about removing the emblem because I dont like to advertise for anyone. Plus it looks cool.

Im thinking about putting this emblem on it. I think it would look cool.
Stripped the reflectors off quite a while ago, and like with all things with me, I've been looking phor something else to take off, so the tank emblems have been running through my head, but if I take it off I will probably replace it with a set of these.

I put a strip of tape in the middle of the emblem to prevent it from falling off.
Then I put on gloves and doubled up some waxed dental floss and sawed the floss under the emblem. The floss would break every inch or so, so I would repeat the process. After The emblem was removed I taped some cotton rags under the tank to prevent the 3M adhesive from dripping on the motor. I then sprayed the left over adhesive witht he 3M adhesive remover. Then wipped the drippage and let it sit for a few min. I used my fingers to rub off the remaining adhesive. It came off pretty easy. The dental floss kinda left a haze on the clear coat of the tank. No prob I used Meguires fine scrath and swirl remover and it was good as new the used meguires paste wax to shine her up. The whole process took like an hour. I plan on removing the reflectors today using the same process.

Yes the emblem is the same on all Street Bobs. I think if you use this method it will work on the demin paint as well.

Would someone post the results of their denim black? I am curious to know how it works out

I gave my wife a gloss black Streetbob for xmas and it will arrive in march, I will be taking the emblems off and replacing with emblems like 05 wideglide but are in gold tone. If you want the takeoffs you can have them just pay the postage, I live in Australia.

Thanks again man.

I just took a putty knife and took mine off. Worked just fine and I did nor heat it up either.
Denim Black is an incredibly durable paint. Of course don't hammer it thru just push gentley.

If you do get a scratch in the DB paint just use some 600 grit wet sand paper and it will sand right out.

I have never had a more durable or easier to clean paint than DB.
