Im gonna remove reflectors aswell just ran out of time today.

 

I like what you've done...I actually like the bob's stock emblem though...I wish my 06 DWGs had something similar, as I don't really love the one's on there now. What are you doing with the ones you took off? I might be interested if you wanna sell.

Not sure yet, Im gonna keep the emblems for now.

 

I think it looks clean off the tank. No mistaking it is a Harley even without
the LOGO.

I had mine off then I put the old Pan Head style on it.

I added the emblem with photoshop. Kind of a quicky job, so it's not perfect, but it might give you an idea of what it would look like.

you got a picture of the whole bike with that emblem on the tank? Looks good.

 

Did you use a heat gun to remove it? What was your procrdure if you do not mind? Did it have the same raised lettering as the Black Denim?

 

I will have to take one .
The bike is my living room right now so it is hard to get good light for the shot.
I will see if I can get a good one to post.

Wow JamieWG thanks alot that really looks good!
To remove the emblem I used waxed dental floss, masking tape, 3M advesive remover and a pair of gloves. All purchased at Wal-Mart.

I put a strip of tape in the middle of the emblem to prevent it from falling off.
Then I put on gloves and doubled up some waxed dental floss and sawed the floss under the emblem. The floss would break every inch or so, so I would repeat the process. After The emblem was removed I taped some cotton rags under the tank to prevent the 3M adhesive from dripping on the motor. I then sprayed the left over adhesive witht he 3M adhesive remover. Then wipped the drippage and let it sit for a few min. I used my fingers to rub off the remaining adhesive. It came off pretty easy. The dental floss kinda left a haze on the clear coat of the tank. No prob I used Meguires fine scrath and swirl remover and it was good as new the used meguires paste wax to shine her up. The whole process took like an hour. I plan on removing the reflectors today using the same process.

Yes the emblem is the same on all Street Bobs. I think if you use this method it will work on the demin paint as well.

Thanks for the response. I am considering removing the emblem so I can do some custome paint. I am a little reluctant to take it off simply because I have purged virtually all HD logos from the bike and this is one of the last.

Are you going to upgrade your pipes?
