Default Speedo-Tach combo wanted

I'm have an 06 Super Glide Custom with the stock speedo and no tach. I can't seem to find a speedo-tach combo. Anyone have any ideas?

welcome to the forum. you can do a search on the top of the page. there are a few threads on the topic. harley also offers a side by side kit similar to what was stock on the FXDXs. here are a couple of the threads:

I am taking the leap on the new Dyna 4" combo speedo/tach for the 07/08s for my 06 FXDI. HD p/n is 74735-07....... Gonna be costly $499.95.

HD will set the mileage of my choice (they trust me?). I have no idea how well this is going to work, but I am going to try it.

There may be a calibration issue because of the ratios on the 07/08 trannies vs. the 06, but I am sure (????) there is a work around for that.

I really just want a clock and 6th gear indicator

There is a 15 day turn-around on the speedo/tach orders, and I will be making the purchase Thursday of this week.

Should know how well and/or if this will work on an 06 by mid April, and will post my findings... Hope I don't end up crying all over my keyboard.

This may end up being offered at a good price here, in a few months.[8D]

Doug,

You can save bucks by buying that kit through Chicago HD at 20% off and they set the speedo for you as well. I ordered mine a month back and love it. Saved $100 going through Chicago.

I am not sure but I think this is what you are looking to do. If not, disregard this.

This is what I did to mine and to be honest, well it cost me almost nothing. I bought the console from i think it was Jackyl (I think) for 30.00, then traded mine console for the tach and bracket, then bought the leds and did the wiring myself. I will caution you to identify every wire you can. Otherwise, not hard at all.
Good luck!

Wow Doug, didn't think you to be the type to spend the money on this item.

Let me know how it works out. I need a guniea pig before I spend the dough.
