Default Rusty wheels!!

The rims and spokes on my street bob are rusting like crazy [:@]

Got the bike last July and its been kept in a garage, hardly ridden over the winter and always washed down after a ride.

Really feel this is unacceptable and before I visit the stealer (should be fun) on Wednesday, wondered if anyone else here has had the same problem and what was the outcome?

The spokes are zinc plated. They will look like crap over time and are a PITA to keep looking nice. Usually the rust on the chrome rim on my bikes have been pretty easy to buff out with a spray cleaner followed by wax. I spray the whole underside of my bike down with WD-40 in the winter. It helps displace water/condensation in my unheated garage.

I agree that in a couple of years time they may look like crap and need replacing but not after 7 months? we pay a premium price for a supposedly premium product and it p##ses me right off! if it was a Jap bike we'd all be going on about Jap crap.

Ok rant over

I do but I didn't read anywhere that your harley will rot if you live near the sea

Still comes down to quality and I am amazed at how tolerant we all are of the use of cheap materials on our very expensive bikes.
