Pics of my new headlight, tank lift, signal relocation, and more...**Pics of signal relocation added
So I took on a winter project, even though here in AZ it's riding season!
I took off the top mount headlight, drilled the triple tree, mounted a Soft tail headlight, relocated the idiot lights to the dash, and relocated the turn signals. Made a tank lift as well. Got the newer mirrors. Probably some other stuff I've been doing as I go. I don't post pics that much but I will start!
Nice project and it definitely updated my 02. Still waiting on the taller headlight mount though.
Definitely doesn't compare with some of your bikes on here, but she makes me happy!

RE: Pics of my new headlight, tank lift, signal relocation, and more
Greetings! I like the look too. I am also going to dump the visor on my '02, but I am investigating using a newer model riser with the indicators located there. Thanks for the engine guard info too. That certainly saved me some searching around. Question: Were you able to drill the lower triple tree without any disassembly?
BTW.....J&P Cycles has tall headlight mounts available. You may have to check to make sure of the screw size, etc.
Oh, no snow there? (duh) We just had our usual spring snow dump up here in Northern Illinois. OH JOY!
Ride Easy!

Thanks for the compliments guys.
The relocation kit, as was mentioned, is in the Mods under $50 post
Courtesy of XKrome...about halfway down the link below. I got the extra stock turn signal bracket from a member here. Just drill that to the correct size of the triple tree bolt and it's done. Took all of 5 minutes! What's nice is you can raise or lower them to where you want them...you have a couple inches of play. I'll take a side shot when I go outside to cut my windshield.

As for the triple tree drilling. Yeah, I did it right on the bike. I just rested the drill against the top triple tree...it's concave so it made a nice point of support to rest the drill against. It's not perfectly straight up and down, but it was close enough for me. I just gauged where the bit was going to come through on the other side so it was centered on the underneath for the bolt to come up through. Start small and work your way up to 3/8". It's only aluminum and they were new bits so it was like butter.
You know I was going to take pics during the process but as usual I get all excited and I was nervous so I completely forgot!
