wow! lot's of response to that one. 2007FXDC hit the nail on the head , you have to figure out what works for you . I will offer the cheapest solution here so far though. I have a 2007 Street Bob . I am 6'2" or 6'3" ( depending on how much viagra I've taken that day) 230 pounds or so, and I just put the forward peg mounts on ( you can get 'em for about five bucks at a swap meet, or someone here is usually giving them away after they buy forwards) then you just heel shift/brake... too easy right? I only say this becuase on my '05 night train which came with forwards, i put three inch extenders on that , and still hung over four or five inches!!! the one thing I would say is avoid floor boards at all cost. they pretty much hold you to one position and it's a lot like sitting in a chair at an elementary school for any one over 6 feet. ( looks dorky as all get out too.)
good luck mang!!!

RMATT
Has the righy Idea, Back in the 80's I had a FXRP and it took me about 6 mounths to add road pegs and i did the heel shift/bake as well. I rode from the rockys to the Atlantic twice and out to the 85 HD brithday that way. I have floor boards now and if I go bare bone seat then the boards will have come Off.

iam 6'6, skinny as a rail, but all i did was put fowards on it and a new seat that sat me back about a inch and she fits me like a glove. i also put a engine gaurd on it for when i do feel like strecthing out a little, when crusing long distances. jackyl

Holy Shnikies!
I thought I wasonly one of a few bigger guys riding. I'm 235 and 6'-2", and am very comfortable on my '02 Low Rider. I have forward controls, and a Badlander seat. I rode my brother's Heritage Softail, and I felt a bit cramped. Then, he rode mine, and said it was nice to s t r e t c h out. I agree with all that have responded.
Do a little test seating/fitting, and then go out and ride to the donut shop!
ENJOY!!!!

I'm 6'-1" and 280 and my FXD fits me fine now.
I bought it used a few years ago from a guy who was at least 3" taller than me, he had the stock mid-controls and a engine guard with highway pegs for longer trips. I realized I was always switching to the highway pegs right after shifting so I had more room. I got tired of that and put on forward controls and a different engine guard with the highway pegs mounted to it. I hardly ever use the highway pegs now, except on longer trips. I also picked up a Mustang wide touring seat that is much more comfortable for both me and the passenger.
Just look around at other bikes and ask what they are using when you see something you like. You did well with the price, now just make it yours.
My $0.02 worth.
