I went with poly long after I went to 14" apes. Wished I had done when I first switched.....to much movement in the bars. Not any real difference in vibration.

I made the switch to Poly when I went to WG bars and 3" risers. At first, I noticed a little vibration I hadn't noticed before but that only lasted about a day and everything seemed better. Goodsolid feel and I like 'em.

Put poly risers/Dyna bars with weight in the ends on my 100hp '01 Sporty and got less vibration...put 1200S bars on my 103 FXDXT and I think I got a bit more vibe but more solid feel. Brother has the HD Fat Mini Apes and we used poly in them, too; the rubber mounts felt too loose.

I did the poly bushings, but didn't like the way it felt with the caps that came with them. So I kept the poly bushings and used the stock insert/washer to bolt them up - much better.

Helpful tip...dont spend more than $12 for a set of pooly bushings...they are all the same material...just marketing for the price. Got a set of Drag Specialties bushings from Dennis Kirk for about $11 and have 6" risers...night and day difference and I have MUCH more control of the bike into corners than before....best upgrade IMO

Poly here also. Big difference in movement of bars. Can't really tell any difference in vibrations for me.
