he was driving the black G35 the guy in the porche was coming in the lane opposite of him and tried to pass the van it was behind, pulled out right into my friends lane, head on SMACK, what a mess... my heart goes out to the family of the individual that lost his life. that whole area is a mess of an intersection... i never take the bike that way for this reason. you have no way out and can not see what is coming in the on coming lane. my buddy is pretty banged up but he will survive... just a mess! http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id...#storycomments

Looks bad. Way to go Nissan engineers designing the frame/cabin of the 350Z and G35. Somebody should send that to them as a case study. I take it the guy in the Porsche is no longer around. Tough, risky moves on the road are just that.

Joe, I'm glad to hear that your friend is okay and I'm sorry about the other guy. I was reading some of the idiot comments below the article. People are such jerks. I was in a head on collision when I was 18. Drunk driver hit me. We were both doing 30-35 mph. I was thrown into the windshied (I was driving a 78 Monte Carlo) and he was killed (a Toyota). You don't have to be speeding in order to have a bad accident or have a fatality. They should ask someone who has been in one instead of making stupid assumptions.

 

Glad that your friend is going to make it. Heart goes out to the other guys family. Not the way to leave this world.
