Default 08 Street Bob handle bars options?

So let me see if I can explain this, since I am new to this.....so next week I pick up my new 08 Street Bob. I wanted to do a few cosmetics right away and one of them was replace the factory bars with drag bars. The dealer was telling me that on the 08 not to many types of bars fit because of the tree being diffrent. Now switching the tree to something similar to the what the super glide has would allow for more options, but in return is quite more pricy. I want a drag type style bar but instead of them slanting back, I want something with a 4-6" rise straight up. I am also looking to purchse a bar that will allow for internal wiring if possible in that style. Anyone have any ideas or can help me on this, thanks a ton!

What your dealer is telling you is that the street bob has integrated risers for 2008 ( I have an '07 ) so, you are limited to bar options because you really can't change your riser hieght. If you do swap out the top tree to do risers ( or t-bars , which have the risers built into them. ) CCI makes a bar set up that sounds just like what you are looking for , everything internal etc,, etc, they are also realy expensive . www.customcyclecontrols.com
click thay link and ask them what they are doing about the integrated risers on the '08 bob.

Hope this helps.

Being a FXD owner who is always challenged by bar upgrades, it made me chuckle when I saw what they did to the Bobs for '08.

Un-friggin' believable - makes absolutely NO SENSE to me why they did that, but suppose they had a reason (?). Anyone care to venture a guess why the riser/triple tree change on '08 St Bobs?
