Default engine noise?

hey guys, started up my 08 fxdc and let it run a little, while it was heating up,I noticed a kind of squeeking noise coming from it while it was idling and then it seemed to go away.I have never heard it before, fluids were all fine bike only has 60 miles on it.anyone ever have any noises they are not sure about?I realize i have a air cooled v-twin,just a little paranoid at times.

I would suggest checking the muffler clamps, and make sure the air filter isn't loose. Could be a slight intake or exhaustleak.
Does it idle smoothly when it does this??

Agree with Trotter, Harleys make all sorts ofnoises, you need more miles to let everything seat.....could be lots of simple things.

Unless you think the noise is terminal, I wouldnt worry too much about it.
Mine made all sorts of wierd noises until I made it in for the first service.
It's amazing how much better she sounds when you get the break in oil out of her

Well, if you were including me in the same ranks as Trotter, I appreciate the compliment although certainly not earned.

Trotter is probably one of the best in the business.............. I just get verylucky, from time to time.

I think, if you listen closely to Trotters advice, you will find he is a living encylipedia of Harley knowledge.

Skip probably ruined his new computer moniter when he read that, 'cause I think he puts sugar in his coffee

Does anybody have train horns mounted on their Dyna......... If so where did you hide em??
