Ooops, or Honda Silver Wing which is pushing 600cc, or Reflex is a 250.
Any way you want to go on these she'd need a cycle license to do it. If you get an actual moped it is typically 50cc or smaller and illegal for the highway, or at least the interstate system. Some of the bigger ones have halfway decent storage room.

dont get hung up on her riding h-d , let her make up her own mind the best thing you could do is get her to take the msf course she would learn on a 250 street bike and be more inclined to go that route after the class . the virago is a good starter bike so is the honda rebel , buell blast, kawasaki 250 ninja and ninja 500 all are light enough for her to handle until she gets the balance thing down pat. I dont know about you but things go alot better with women when they think something is there idea , thats all Im saying.

You are lucky you got a girl that rides.
Her ride must please HER not YOU.
If she like that, let her ride what she likes, for chrissake. I'd never force my wife to ride anything she doesn't like. And if anybody comments, he's better make a positive, respectful comment.[8D]

Ike, get her one of these Ridley's. No clutch and low enough. I saw this one at last year's outer banks rally. Then get her an all white leather outfit to wear when riding it like this chick had. Even had a matching cowgirl hat.

Pink. Ick. I've seen a few down in Daytona this week as I sit there on my dark blue Fat Bob. No way in he!! you'll see me on a pink motorcycle! Guess I'm just one of the guys LOL Shoot, I'm usually passing the guys! Give me power, speed, and good old Harley rumble.
Having said that, I guess you gotta do what you gotta do. The Fat Bob looks nice in that bright red color though! Definitely have her sit on one. It's really very comfortable.

I had a Vespa 200 in High School from 1983-1985. I rode the hell out of that thing on the streets and freeways of L.A. It was useless on any kind of real road trip though. Get your girl into the Riders Edge MSF class. They use the Buell Blast. And @ almost 500cc's it'll give her a taste of what a motorcycle can do.

Best advise I can give is put her in the MSF Motorcycle Safety Course. That will give her the confidence she needs to hit a bigger bike. If she still insist on a scooter (like my wife) then buy yourself a good solo and a good 2 up seat. Put the solo on hang the 2 up in the garage (where mine is 99.9999% of the time) and enjoy riding without her. Safety course may really fix it. She will want to go more or be all done.....
My wife is way too girly for my riding.

Whatever she decides on just make sure it is something she won't outgrow too fast. The helmet and jacket you can live with, just make sure her hands are properly protected also. I'd recommend these, but that's a whole different discussion....
