Default Hello From Tampa Florida Area...Street Bob Handle Bar Swap Question

I get to ride ALL year long here in FLA. I picked up an 08 Street Bob and I love it. I am looking to change out the ape handle bars to the straight type of bars....can anybody put me in the right direction as far as risers....swappable parts....anything that may need to change other than the obvious??

Thanks

Pat

I assume your looking to put drag bars on it. If so, you could try WildOne drags with intergrated risers. I think they look better versus using straight bars and risers with a hnadlebar clamp. If you want to have them at roughly the same height as your mini apes you won't have to be concerned with changing cables out. They also look great if you take the time to internally wire them as well. There is plenty of slack in the stock harness to do this, all it takes is a little bit of time in the garage.

Here's a link to the WildOne site. http://www.wild1inc.com/

you could make your own... they are real simple to make and then you can use your stock handlebar clamps... we make our own risers all the time... here is a set we made for my brothers sporty...

one thing you need to know, if you don't already:

the 08 Street Bobs have the risers integrated into the top of the triple trees. you can't use after market risers with the stock triple tree set up.

I'm learning that now O.B.....I talked with wild1 and they recommend a W0503 for the Bob. But then I would need to make a top single clamp vs. the two clamps that the Bob has now. I think that should be an easy make.....any other concerns?? here is a pic of what wild1 said would look sweet and work as long as I make the top single clamp...
