Great little bike!
My girl rides a Virago 250 and i just wanted to let you guys know what a great little bike this is... that V twin is amazing and really will get that bike up there and run... i have done some work to it but not much and she loves this little bike! keeps right up with us... last year she took it from chicago to Key west... I know alot of people out there have wives that are getting into riding and i figured i woudl pass this along... she had every intent on just buying this and selling it after a season but she loves it!.... i just got some new gears that i am going to toss in it so it is a bit more torque(y), then it will go under the gun as she wants it pink... but hell it is a cool little bike... here are some pics!
- intake
- lowered
- removed baffels
- new turn sigs all around
- Led Light kit
- just put on apes
---- minor upkeep and it does look a heck of alot like the bob when you have it sitting next to it... i know alot of people bad mouth getting a 250... myself included, but i was amazed with this bike, 3rd season and running strong... granted she is 5'2 and 100lbs but hey it fits her and that is what riding is all about.... one pic she has her huge purse on... shortly after i got her some saddle bags.

RE: Great little bike!
That is a great little bike I remember practicing on one of them when I took the MSF course. Very nimble and easy to maneuver with power on hand. Another option is the Honda Shadow, that's my second bike, The best part is you can get both with varying cc's to match the skills of the rider.
Here's a pic of an '84 VT700C I had (not the actual bike but close enough):

RE: Great little bike!
I've been looking at one of these for the wife. It's a toss up between that or the Suzuki S40 Boulevard. You can find either one used on the cheap and their not shabby looking bikes. Rode with a chick last fall on a run that was riding the S40 and she handled it really well. Wife liked the looks too.
Now to just get her off her butt and over to the MSF course this spring.
