RE: Saddlebag Supports for FXD NEED HELP
I can tell you what I did. I ordered the ones out of the J&P cycles catalog for a '74 Softail ($29). I drilled and tapped theframe and bolted them under the chrome strips. Not removable, but I always leave the bags on anyway. I haven't taken new pics since I put them on, but they look good.

If the ones you got look like these, then they'll fit. Your signals wont unfortunately. The threads on the rear post are fine, not sae like the original signals.
Need to either get new sigs at close to 50 bucks a side from the stealer, or stick a stainless bolt in it and do the relocation kit to the license plate.
Or just get Easy Brackets and eliminate the headaches

The saddlebag supports are going back in pieces lol. They Just Will Not Fit (without going into detail) the Dealer said HD must not have done their homework ( I wonder what they would have done if I bought them and had them do the install )
thanks again
