Default Hard Saddlebags for Dyna

I recently purchased a brand new 2007 Wide Glide and interested in installing the color matched hard saddlebags that are offered through the HD accessories book. Has anyone seen them on this model? How do they look? My wife is insistant that I get hard bags for this bike instead of leather bags. I am just looking for opinions. Thanks!

I'm not a fan of HD's idea of what hard bags should look like on a dyna. Makes it look like a european police bike in the movies.
Corbin has decent looking hard bags (almost makes it look like a Victory), if you want to mortgage the house for them.

I'm seriously thinking of glassing my own, so they wont look so darn goofey

Had a look at some HD rigid bags for my 08 streetbob, dont think HD hard bags for dynas look right, shape size build qaulity, plus over here they cost £1250 fitted- $2500 us. Looking for throw overs instead.

That's a down payment on a bagger!

I have them and I love them. Not the biggest things in the world but they suite me well. I love the look of mine too.

not on a fxdwg, but my wife has a set on her fxdl and absolutely loves them. i used a set of bubba's brakes quick detach posts, so they can be removed in about a minute if desired. i like the look of the hd bags, can not stand leather bags, but that is personal preference. i bought her set new on ebay for just at 1/2 price with all hardware. simple install.

Dr Dave,

Is it possible for you to show me the detaching hardware you are using. Id be interested in seeing what you have. Are they the same bags as mine?

My bike came with them. It was used. I hated them. They looked weird and really didn't have a lot of space anyways. They sort of looked like floaties hanging off the side of the bike. I still have a pic if you look in my photo album.
