RE: Harley Braided Crossover Fuel Line
I have on installed as part of a winter mod and no issues.
I'll wait to see how it functions with some miles on before I can make a decision as to good or bad. The HD Part guru I deal with said that theyAre not that good because they leak. He didin't recommend one for another bike I was concidering it for.
Well there ya go.

These two, from that page, are the same,
other than length -
63709-04
63729-04
other than length -
63709-04
63729-04
Which is longer? No clue from part number or price.

RE: Harley Braided Crossover Fuel Line
my dyna fat bob crossover was 1/4, although the service manual stated should be 5/16, but tank nipples are for 1/4.
I'm guessing that this one is for 5/16" ID
63709-04
Fits '04-later Dyna® models (except FXDWG, '06 FXD35 , '07-later FXDC and '08 FXDF models).
MSRP US $34.95
And this one is for 1/4" ID 63729-04
Fits '04-later FXDWG, '06 FXD35, '07-later FXDC and '08 FXDF models.
MSRP US $34.95

That page has ID of 1/4 and 5/16, which is the correct size for our Dynas?

I'm sure it works well for other but for me it was a disaster.....well, could have led to a disaster. I installed this on my Fat Bob and it hooked up correctly but seemed stiff and needed a necessary gradual bend for my tank. Followed the directions exactly as expressed. No problems initially; no leaks no other issues. Went for a ride with some friends for about an hour and came back home cause the wife wanted to go out so I pull back in the garage and shut her down waiting for the wife to get ready (about 20 minutes). She comes out and smells gas in the garage and I just say it's from me putting the gas back in the tank but then I notice it is really strong also. Well, gas is leaking from both sides of the connections and gas is pouring out so I quickly remove the crossover to get the remaining fuel into a container. Blah, blah, blah, what had happened was that the rubber bushing worked its way out of the retaining nut on both sides causing a major leak and I blame the cause on the stress and inflexibility of the line which made for an uneven pressure on the seal and wah-la. I shutter to think what would have happened if I kept riding initially or it happened after I left with the wife.
After all that, I replaced it with a kit from JP Cycles that works better for me and is still a stainless steel braided line with reliable connectors.
Of course, this is only my experience.
