Sportster tank on FXD
I too would like to have a King Sportster tank for my 2009 fuel injected FXD and not knowing what all is involved, I thought maybe the bottom of my stock FXD tank could be cut out and fabricated to fit the larger Sportster tank. I am surprised that the aftermarket doesn't offer such a tank. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sportster tank on a Dyna
I have discovered that a 2nd hand EFI Sportster tank will fit over the backbone of my 2009 FXD. Just not sure how it will mount safely and securely.

You’re just going to sprinkle those pics into a 7 year old thread without an explanation of how you did it?!

Yes!
See, it's not my bike.
It's advertised 4-sale.
I noticed the ad, and thougt I would share the pictures as I like both Sporter tank on Big Twins and Crazy Frank fenders
And it's fun to resurect old threads.
They very often includes a lot of good knowledge.
