...and I want to swap the stock drag handlebars for harley's fat mini-apes (part number 56832-04). According to the MoCo parts website, to put the mini-apes on I've got to get an additional $600 in cables and new risers. If this is the case, do I get to keep the stock cables/bars/risers, or do I just lose the money on those, assuming I get the mini-apes put on when they assemble the bike. Anyone have experience with this situation?

 

I would think you get to keep the take-offs if they're charging you extra for the new stuff. I swapped mine out myself, and saved the labor charge, if you're up for it, it wasn't that bad, just a little time consuming.

 

Well YEAH they're YOUR parts, you bet you get them. If you don't I'd be choking some weasel in the service or sales dept getting 'em back! People just lay over and play dead on this all the time. They want to offer you something for them and you agree to it then fine, but they don't just waltz off with stuff that's YOURS.
