Default Got a DYNO run today!!

Got my 2007 Street bob dynoed

Stage 1 cleaner
Samson Big guns3 Exhaust
Power Commander EX (epa approved)

I downloaded from website an exact match.....

I got 69.5 HP and 82 lbft of torque...

The curves was perfect since I still use O2 sensors....still flat 14.7 AFR

no tuning needed with W.O.T.

still might get O2 IEDs for cruising.....

Nice Bike!

Hey is the scoop with getting a Dyno?? I bought a K&N RK-3903 air filter kit, still deciding on pipes, and going to get the PCIII from FuelMoto. I was thinking about getting a Dyno, after I'm done. Do they do it while you wait? Can you watch? Do you drop it off and pick it up days later? How long does it take/cost? Do they tune it or just give you the numbers?

Dynabob ... 14.7 is Stock EPA Setting... Did they tune the Bike ? otherwise why did you put it on the Dyno ..... 69.5 hp sounds like a stock 88.. your 96 should be up around 74/78 Hp and upper 80's 87/90 for torque.. And your AFR need's to be around 13.2-13.5 to run Cool ....

I was thinking the numbers sounded a bit low myself. I have the PC, High Flow, and my V&H pipes and dyno'd at 77 1/2 HP and 92 ft. lbs for torque.

Jake here's mine Bone stock with just EPA Slip On's When I was setting the A/F for break in so it would run Hot... Look at the A/F line... The dotted red line is Perfect...That's also with it set for a 225 LBS rider ... So there was a load on the rear tire ... Free wheeling would have made the numbers alot higher... I'm not into the numbers Just efficiency.. Front and Rear and keeping it cool...

Trotter, I don't have my print out with me here overseas, but mine pretty much looked like that. I had mine dyno'd last summer and was glad I did it. They tuned it in nice.

I just re-read your post...bone stock???

If you can get numbers like yours on a bone stock bike, and it makes such a huge difference in operating temperatures and performance, why doesn't HD just do it out of the crate? Does the motor need to have the miles on it for break in purposes? It sounds like it would be a great selling point to be able to state that the product you are buying is tuned perfectly at the time of pick up. Unless of course, it's from a "we'll get the money out of them after the fact" stand point.

EPA Say's 14.7 to pass.... Way too Lean,Hot... People don't understand that tuning a bike has nothing to do with horse power or torque... You need a tool ( SERT, PCIII ) to balance both the front and rear Cyl's to the same Ratio and get them working together.... ( Balanced ) Adding Fuel where needed that will make it run at it's full potential, Also Cooler, So your numbers will obviously be higher ... Along with Pipes and A/C.... The strap On's mannagers allow hardley none of this.... Oh Also that's what keeps me Busy... LOL . We tune on an Average 6 bikes a day... You did the right thing for your Bike...
