Default 2006 Dynas - update us

Let's get some words from 2006 Dyna owners and the 6 speed tranny.

What model Dyna do you own?

How many miles do you have on the 2006 Dyna?

Give us your opinion on the 6 speed....

I have an 06 Wide Glide with 620 miles. I love everything about the bike with exception to the stock sound of the exhaust. I am waiting for more people to change their exhaust and hear the problems before I attempt it.

I have a 06 FXD35 ,The tranny and clutch are outstanding as well as the new frame and forks. No complaints...........I have put the SEII balonie slipons and the SE A/C with the stage 1 reflash and the techlusion EFI controller....I am happy.I think I am riding a sport bike some times.

Hey bdsvette, I am in Harpers Ferry also...Blue Ridge Acres to be exact....lets ride some time,,,

2006 Super Glide Custom with 1067 miles.

6 speed tranny is awesome. Since I installed a tach so I can see rpm's I can truly appreciate the new transmission. The tranny itself is very smooth and responsive to gear changes. Mine's in the shop now getting the tranny recall taken care of with the whole "false neutral" thing but it has performed flawlessly for me up to this point.

I have a Street Bob. I purchased it after renting all of the HD models. The new frame and suspension out handles anything Harley makes now and the six speed is perfect for SoCal traffic which normally flows at 80 mph on the freeways. The power is great and it looks cool, especially in denim black.

Did you accidentally add a 0 to that mph figure? I live in L.A. and I've never seen the freeways move like that for any measurable distance. [8D]

2006 Street Bob
1300 miles
Shifts as good as any other [non-Harley] bike I've had/ridden.
Effin' awesome bike. Very proud of it.

FDXI35 at stage one here. Slick shifting, light clutch. Good ergo's and suspension. Rear shocks and stock seat are like aftermarket parts compared to bikes just a few years ago. Love the ride, more relaxed highway speeds, smart internal engine changes and old school looks. Only gripe is the learning curve on getting the fuel injection right but all of the answers to accomplishing this task is all over this site. Excellent machines.

I have had my Street Bob since mid September and got almost 800 miles on it before the winter weather hit us here in the Mid-Atlantic and it's seems like every good day we have had to ride I've been sick..go figure. Anyway I digress, I have not had a single problem with the tranny it is really nice having that extra gear when your cruising on the interstate at 70+ it seems like the bike isn't even trying hard at all, and you can still crank the throttle and get immediate acceleration even in 6th gear. I really like the reduced effort clutch, I'm not a p*ssy or anything but if your in heavy traffic or riding downtown it sure is nice to have.

The Bob is in the shop right now getting the tranny recall done, and while it's there I am having the Stage 1 A/C and download donw to go with the SE Slash Downs I put on just before winter. If I have one complaint it is definitly the stock exhaust sound at highway speeds you can not here it, and next to other Harley's at idel speed you sound like your on a Honda.

I have a 06 FXDLI with 1100 miles on it. I upgraded to Rush mufflers, as the sound to me is deeper and throatier than the SEII's. New air and remap and all is well. I absolutely love this bike! I just had the recall completed but haven't rode it as it's snowing here is Western NY of late.
