RE: Kuryakyn side mount license plate w/o tail light
It was simple, the wire comes out of the plate mount and you tuck it to the inside of the swingarn using a zip tie. My frame is black, so you can't see the zip ties unless your really looking.
I followed the inside of the swingarm and then up to the wad of wires thats under your seat.
I tapped into the "run" and ground for the brake light assembly from under the seat.
You cannot see any wire at all, very clean.

No you can't.
There is not enough room before the swingarm goes to a different width.
Anyway, it would seem like in front of the shock would not provide enough
plate visibility from the rear to keep you out of the threat of a ticket.
They do however make a derby mounted model, but it sticks out way to
far, and it will set you back about $400.
take a look at my picture.
Hope this helps.

RE: Kuryakyn side mount license plate w/o tail light
I've been watching these posts on the side mount plate hanger, I think you did a great job on the side mount. and the Bike, I'm going over to dealers on monday and take a good look on the 1200N sporty, and see how York put it on that bike. I was told it swing s out and folds back.and I would say it has lights. I looked at the 360 walk around on the 1200 N ( on the HD site) and it looks like ithangs down from the left turn signal, And if it did work you know its going to cost big bucks. Less you go on the tour at york and carry a big bag,
