NICE!!!! I like you paint too

 

Very nice - just got done putting some on my bike, and makes a difference in the ride - very comfortable.

I debated on apes or drags all year. Last set of bars I had were probably as about as close as I could get to drags. Finally opted to go ape and I have to say I felt the same way you do. Much better riding position for me and feels great. Nothing like keepin' the pits dry on a hot summer day!

 

I didn't even think about the armpit thing - good to know though, jackyl mentioned it's like sitting in a recliner while you're riding. I couldn't enjoy that feeling today on the freeway, though, the wind was a bit strong. Hopefully weekend will be nice and I can get the full effect. Have to admit, though, wouldn't want to go higher than the minis. glad I went with the 10 1/2.

 

I only went to 13"s and feel pretty good with them. Good all around size IMO, gives the bike a little attitude and let's me getthe arms stretched out without feeling like I'm doing the crane technique. wax on, wax off Daniel-san.............

 

thanx for all the compliments and i know i need to get a new sig photo. gona do that as soon as some more good weather comes along so i can get some scenery in the background. probably get those reflectors off first too. the fender was a fairly inexpensive mod, found it on ebay for about $85 shipped and got one of the painters at work to spray is for free

Is that some type of tape wrap you did on your forks? Looks kind of cool with the fork boots.

I have toyed around with the idea of fork boots to black the front end up a little more ever since I did my black apes. That combo looks good, gives some nicecontrastto your front end.

 

I changed out the 8 1/2 mini apes for 18"ers and LOVE the look and the feel. Talk about fists in the wind! I would suggest the throttle rockers for long ride confort.

 

it's leather lace wrapped around the forks. I'm in the process of redoing it cuz i forgot to put the QR windshield brackets on first.
