I remember "The Beast" well. Back in the 80's you could buy a case around here for 7-8 bucks. I think it's still a staple for college kids and other young, broke folks (among others).

Grew up in Missouri and drank the beast a lot in High School.

 

I have some 3M tape, and thought I would just put a small piece on each of the cut sides. (bottom) Maybe I should also use your idea of the pull tab too. I wonder ifI should just get a 6-pack of Beastie shorties. The best length seems to be 3 inches. And no.......I dhidn't thahmm whun dowwn dith m_orning to__oo ghet tha ca_an!

You haven't drank beer until you have drank the "Beast". It falls into the quantity not quality category. Usually drank in between paydays back in the day.

 

How come none of you guys has left the entire top in the can cutting away only the bottom? That way it looks like a full can of beer. Unless of course the whole idea behind this project is to sneak out into the shop to have a couple beers.

Alright I went out and put it on the filter on the bike. It was kinda hard fitting my hand in that little tight space to try and secure it to the filter butI guess it looks alright. Next time I change the oil and have the filter off I will try and secure it a little straighter but here is the pic...

Now does anyone know where I can get a fairly cheap custom shift rod that I can put the words "THE BEAST" on?
I saw an advertisement for someone on here that makes shift rods with whatever you want to say on them but they were pretty expensive.
