A cordless Dremel tool will make short work of a cable. Some of the cut-off wheels that you mount to them are carbide and can cut thru any type of metal.

i have the 6 foot cable from harley and a disk lock. I have to agree that if they want it bad enough they will take it. I live in an apt setting and just last week 3 50cc motorcycles were stolen. They were hooked up with a regular chain. not there more then 2 weeks and then BAM..Gone.

I have a Kryptonite U shaped lock that I use with aKrytonite cable. Both have the marks on it that show someone tried to use bolt cutters to get it off. Didn't work, though. I also use a disc lock for the back tire disc brake.

ORIGINAL:
I was at Daytona one year and in a bar, and someone cut down a utility pole in the parking lot just to steal a new H-D. The guy said that he had a Cobra-link lock on it, which is supposed to be the best (and most expensive). His lock didn't help a bit after they cut down that pole. They stole his bike and his lock.

thanks for the help.... I think I'll do a cable lock like clutch66 was sayin... probably the stealer(did not know they had something)

this is for me to lock the bike to something to help deter the possibility of theft.... you never know what could happen
