Default 07 vs. 08 Super Glide Custom price

I noticed that the msrp of a 08 SGC dropped from 14645 (in 2007)to 12995. Wondering if any of you Dyna guys can enlighten me on the differences between the two years...
Thanks!

No real difference except the 07's apparently had "come get me sucker" written all over them and I bit, hook line and sinker. LOL

Everytime I put this out of my mind, a post comes up reminding me of it. I'm happy with my bike and thought I got a good deal at the price I paid. So, that makes it an even better deal in 08. In my opinion, it's the best bang for the buck in the whole lineup. It's virtually the same bike except for maybe some minor changes here or there. They certainly didn't take away anything functionally or aesthetically from the bike. Maybe some different color choices, that's about it.

I think the old price just put it closer to some higher dollar bikes and they didn't sell very well last year because of it. I bought the bike I wanted but I guess some people figured, why not pay a few dollars more and get a lowrider, a wideglide, or a softie.

Sorry to remind ... I just wondered if they cheapened it up or something. Also seemed to me like a lot of bike for 13g. Thanks for the info!

It's okay, really. I just like to b!tch about things sometimes. At first it really bothered me but then I reminded myself that I'm not going to be getting rid of it for a long time anyway so it doesn't really matter to me. If I sold or traded it now, with all the mods I've made, I'd lose way more than the difference in price anyway. I was kind of hoping I'd find out they'd cheapened it up too but that's not the case. I think there are a few little details that are different but only different because of the model year change, they have nothing to do with the price that I can tell. I'm not sure what they are and would probably have to see them side by side to tell. It's a great value for the money now, if you are into chrome and spokes like I am. It's what, a grand more than the standard FXD, and it comes with goodies that would cost you well over that if you bought an FXD and added all the same parts at retail.

I thinkthe 08actually has a braided brake line.
And then there is the obvious change in AC shape.

I bought the bike I wanted in 07 out of the entire Harley Line up. Now its an even better deal.

Best bang for the buck for sure!

Cheers,

Tom

No major changes other than a better price tag. I'll be the first to admit if I had waited till this model year to buy a scoot it most likely would have been the FXDC. I paid this years msrp on my FXD last year so I think I did ok..............
