RE: stay young
You've got that straight!!!!
Back in the 70s, early 80s,I rode Honda's (wanted a Harley....just couldn't afford one back then). My cousin and I rode our bikesall the time, taking 2-3 day long trips. It was a great time!!! One day someone pulled out in front of him and he t-boned the car, which killed him instantly. That's when I hung it up, never to ride again. Twenty years went by and I still had that urge to buy a Harley, so I said to myself...."Look, you're 55 years old, so if you are going to do it, do it now, while you are still young enough". So figured "Hell ya", I can afford itand I'm going to do it!!! So I did!!! I don't regret it for 1 second and it makes me feel like I'm in my 20's again. It's a great feeling!!!

RE: stay young
I didn't start riding until I was 62. My was dead set against riding. When she informed me she no longer wanted to married I said fine. Took the RV and pickup and left. I have had my Harley for almost two years now.
Of course my kids looked at me a little funny. The grandkids think it is great. One of my twin granddaughters, age 4, likes to watch motorcycles on TV (Wild Hogs).
The goal in life is not to go quietlyto your grave with a well preserved body but to slide in totally worn out yelling "what a hell of a ride".
Ride Safe.
