Default Harley rental in Aruba-yes or no

OK, I live in the snow belt, over 54" in December alone, so It's time to go to Aruba. See the rental link http://www.harleydavidson-aruba.com/rentals.html.
My question is...Pay $160 for a one day rental or throw it into the slot machine? My last ride before putting up for winter was turkey day, froze my nads off, so I am overdue for a ride but this seems expensive to me. What do you riders think.

I am going Feb. 2009 for my 10 year wedding ann. I already have plans to rent a full day. Whens the next time your gonna be able to ride a Hog in Aruba? Why not, you only live once and life is to short. Enjoy yourself.

You can get $160 last all day in a casino? Wish I could here in Tahoe!
Go for the rental and check out the countryside!

I'd go for the rental, enjoy the day.
I'd say maybe 2 days, but how many times can you ride in circles?

It'll make for a good story one day for sure....

From what I remember, Aruba Big Twin H-D had a package deal on rentals. Rent for the full day, get a tour guided ride in the morning, then you had the afternoon to explore on your own. Had I known before I went there, I would have done that. The island isn't all that big so one day of riding can easily cover the whole island. Very nice place and the people are friendly.

All rentals (jeeps, eco cars, etc) are very expensive in the islands - captive audience and car imports cost big bucks due to duties, etc, so $160/day, while yeah, not cheap, it's a once in a lifetime experience - go for it!

Forget the Harley, rent a jeep instead. Most of the roads outside of Orangstadt are unpaved, rockyand poorly maintained. I can't see the pleasure in riding on that crap. The island is only a couple of miles long. P.S. don't spend the nights drinking with anyone named VanDersloop.

Don't go to Aruba.

I would not spend one of my dollars there. period. ever.

After the obstruction of justice in the Natalee Holloway case between the guilty Vander Sloot dude, his judge father and others... you'll never see me there. Go rent a Harley in Jamaica or the Bahamas. Rent one in South Florida for $80. Not Aruba.

Sorry... I have daughters. I am protective.

Looking like 5 to 2 in favor of renting, interesting comments (especially the Vandersloot guy),a party of four couples are already booked for April, but DA ROOSTER's "ride a hog in Aruba" really made me think. PS: happy anniversary We celebrated our 25th in Vegas in Oct 07, first time there!
On the other hand, I know two of the guys don't have mc licences, not sure yet of the third yet, and unfortunately my wife is not nearly as enthusistic about riding as I am (dammit), not as much fun going alone either.
Appreciate the tips, will you Dyna guys forgive me if I do decide to rent? (looks like they only have a choice of a softy, heritage or road king)
