Just before my ride today I noticed a nail in the back of my tire. Dont know where I picked it up but it has to be fixed. I was doing 90 on some of the straigt aways today.

Anyway I was looking on the stealer website for the size and stuff and they offer 2 tires.

1 for 107 and the other for 169 or something like that.

Is is easy to change the rear tire and is there a better place that I can get a rear tire?

What bike are you riding?

 

depends on the bike and where it is.... if you have spokes... pull it out... toss on in a new tube and you are good to go! some would advise to patch it as well maybe with a mushroom but i have not heard positve or neg.... if you have a mag or tubeless... replace... i do not patch motorcycle tires... personal opinion.

 

Like said its your choice, I have always pluged/patched or replaced tube on my tires, never caused me any problems. If its a big hole/tear or sidewall I would replace as soon as I could

 

That happened to me last year and the dealer refused to plug/patch the tire. Said it was dangerous and it was their policy. I hung on to the tire just in case I found info that contradicted what they said.

 

I had the same thing happen to me last year...ordered a new tire...well worth a hundred bucks or so to ride with peace of mind with my wife on the back.

 

Swamp, you spelled that incorrectly. With your wife on the back, it would be spelled, "piece of mine".

 

Even if it is tubeless on a mag, you can always put a tube in it and finish wearing out the tire if going the plug route scares.
