Windvest ....Who has one? ....

RE: Windvest ....Who has one? ....
TOMMAY,
The Windvest came today. It took ONE WHOLE DAY TO GET HERE! WTF! LOL!
Anyway, I am asking you because we ride the same bike (not literally). I put the brackets on the bars and there is not much room because of the electric cables that run down into the upper triple tree. What is the secret? Do you just push and force it to sit square?
Tight fit, but I am VERY impressed with the product and I have not begun to roll yet!
PS. Please excuse the "work in progress" on the sig pic! I just don't get it, and promise I WILL figure it out! LOL

Be sure and get a pic up if you can once the install is done. I'll be ordering mine next week.

I have the Windvest and would not ride any long distance without it. Keeps the wind off the chest at any speed but particularly at high speed. If you are worried about the Windvest being too high with your risers, try the other brackets which attach to the risers not the handlebars. Got the following information from Windvests by Coolshields (If your bars and risers are welded one piece units, you need riser mount clamps (10-1080, 10-1280.)

If anyone's wanting to try one of these with a little less investment, I've still got a 16 high by 14 wide here that I'm not using.
The P-brackets are for 1 1/4 handlebars. Came off an 07' wide glide. I'd probably sell it for around half of new price. It's in great condition.
