It looks good and really goes with the bike. Since the parts only cost $18 I would try it again. This time tape one end shut and fill the tube with sand and compact it, then tape that end shut. The sand might keep the tube from collapsing and kinking. I know it works for copper tubing.

Ride Safe.

Excellent job Bro. My only suggestion would be to fill the tubes full of sand and tape off the ends before you start your bending. The sand will keep the shape and absorb the pressure of bending. When you are done remove tape, empty sand, and blow out the tubes. Works like a charm.

Thanks Coast

That's what I've been told so I might try again butas these are standard kitchen door handles I would have too cut off the ends and I think that trying to get the ends back on and welded neatly might not be easy.

Another great under $50 project.

Good thinking on this one, follows the lines of the fender nicely.

Tartan...

Since the tubes are closed on each end but have a hole drilled in them, melt some soft wax (bee's wax comes to mind) and pour into the tube instead of sand. Bend. Then heat up the tube and pour out wax. That should give support to the tube while you're bending it!
