Default I can't make up my mind on pipes

Everytime I think I made a decission I change my mind again. I have narrowed it down to two choices. Either the Vance & Hines Short Shots or the Sideshots. Both in black.

The pros of the short shots are:
- clean and simple look
- afforable price

The cons
- possible loss of back pressure causing weak performance

The pros of the sideshots:
- custom look that you wont see everywhere
- the power chamber increasing performance

The cons:
- Some may think they look strange
- They are relatively expensive

I think they both look great. Help me decide. I am ready to buy either now but don't want to make the wrong choice.

Not much of a fan of the SideShots. I say Short Shots, but I'm biased.............

Honestly, I definitely say sideshots. I absolutely LOVE the look of them, and you rarely ever see them as well. But, to each his own I suppose. I'm sure you'll get a lot of people say shortshots, as they are quite popular. But since you asked, I say sideshots!

I say buy the shortshots. I don't want everyone to have sideshots like me.

I just had an idea. I wonder if you could put a side-shot on the rear and a short-shot on the front. That might look pretty cool. Serious!

If you do the "Big Three" -- Pipes , Intake and Fuel Controller. You wont loose anything power or torq, you will gain. I did the ShortShot Staggered , Fuelpak and HD HighFlow Filter foraround $600. Love my bike even more now it really woke it up. The black shortshot staggered look great on the street bob you wont be dissapointed. Also the ShortShot Staggered are propably the cheapest full pipe you can get. Vance and Hines designs them to gain power not lose it. If you change them IE remove their baffle you may lose some power though. I took alot of time to decide myself and dont regret it , how could I . I got what I wanted foraround $600. $219 FuelPak , $295 Short Shots , about $150 HD High Flow Filter. If you do the intake you gain about 5-10 HP for what you have lost on the pipes. This varies from pipe to pipe though. Good luck on your choice.

sounds like yo want the short shots more but are concerned re: perf drop, hard to tell your priorities based on yor post but the only perf issue with that pipe is the slight torque dip @ 2500-300ish rpm, it's a crucial part of the powerband. some peeps notice it, other do not.

Nice charts but I think things have changed since the 2001 fuel injection systems, also your chart doesnt include the addition of a high flow filter kit which changes the results.
