make sure both the battery cover and the battery band are room temp. the only thing that holds the new HD battery bands on is the two sided tape and two alignment pegs. the existing band has retaining clips so just a heads up!

I got a chrome band for my FatBob and it bolts on with 4 nylock nuts.

I have the HD script on mine.Better than the brushed alluminum band that was on it.

Just ordered my battery bandfrom the dealer today. Bought the 2008 FXDC band that has "Dynaglide" Written in script. About $70 with tax. [sm=biker2.gif]
