New to the forums but I've been lurking here for awhile. Got a '12 Fat Bob in denim black last July. It'd been 6 years since my last bike (08 fxd) but I like the looks of the Fat Bob and it handles better and way more comfortable of a ride for me than any other bike I've had. My 7yo daughter loves riding it too and rides every chance she can (she put on over 2,000 mi in the 4 months before winter last year). It came with a SE heavy breather, V&H ProComp 2-1, SERT, and Leatherworks saddle bags. In the 10 months I've had it, it's already gone thru a ton of changes, and I've still got quite a few tricks up my sleeve planned for the next time the snow flies.

How it was when I put it away this last winter. Hadn't done much to it yet other than putting on a sissy bar, changed the front signals, and blacked out the battery band and horn.

A shop always looks better with more bikes in it.

Decided to try my hand at powdercoating this winter. Black is a much better look than chrome IMO.

Wasn't going to make any more changes after getting the front end together for spring. That changed when I couldn't sleep last weekend and the back end looked too shiny.

Looks great. How much would you say the fairing helps with wind?

I plan on getting one anyway eventually just for looks so I'm trying to get a realistic expectation of function. Never had any sort of wind screen or anything on previous bikes.

Helps a bit. I'm 6'2" so still get hit on the shoulders and head but its definitely better at highway speed than before.
Also now have the option of tucking behind the fairing!

Default 2010 Fatbob

I love it so far, but a little issue with it. Intermittent loss of power, almost like some one is restricting gas flow, the speedo drops and it bucks. It actually stalled and when restarted the clock was blinking 12, (so it lost electrical) It is at the dealership now, they can not reproduce it. Making me nuts. but i rides like a dream.

All things going well I'll be parting ways with my BMW and parking this next to my 2014 mod next week.

Stock except for WG bars and SE slip ons. It won't stay that way for long.

1 Owner, Aussie delivered 10,000km, immaculate.
