Thanks for the input Lon

Right now I'm trying to figure out if I am gutsy enough to put a Fuel Pack and Arlen Ness Supercharger on by myself! I'm thinking of seeing I can find someone willing to come over and show me how to do it. Don't think I'm confident enough to do it on my own. I know I'll screw something up! LOL It would only save me about $150 in labor (indy) but I like the idea of doing it myself. So, engine mods first, also relocating the turn signals, then I'll work on powder coating the rocker boxes and the paint.

There certainly is a great satisfaction in doing things like that yourself, and doing it with a knowledgable friend at your side. I had a mentor for years, Bill "Rabbi" Grinnell, who's no longer with us. He taught me motorcycle maintenance and was always available to give a hand and pass along some tips and insight. I really wish he were around for this journey with this bike!

So far I've done nothing more adventurous or complicated than. . .mounting a luggage rack on my rear fender!

Sweet! Can't wait to see it! I didn't think I was going to change mine but when I saw that one in Daytona I thought it looked really cool. I'm hoping for a subtle but still custom look. Have you put the pipes on yet? How do they sound? Mine just get better and better sounding all the time. I like it because they aren't terribly obnoxious at an idle or just putting down the road, but man when I get on that throttle you can hear em crack! Put's a smile on my face every time! LOL
