Hey jmerr, what kind of helmet are you riding with? I hear the first gear every-time I am slowing down, if I'm going pretty fast, it just gets louder. Next time you hear the aliens coming, shift bak up in a higher gear and see if it goes away. Reason I ask about the helmet is that if youa re wearing a full helmet or 3/4, you might only hear it when you are gearing down too fast and first is loud enough to hear. Let m know...

BTW, the dealer got the bolt out of my fender. Now I can get my sissy pad on, in time for the Kuryakyn Tombstone bag to arrive!! Sweet. I might even ride to Jacksonville this weekend when I get to Savannah.

I did on the other hand finally hear the Jetson's car noise!!!! I was shifting down from second to first but my rpm's were still a bit high and I heard it! LOL
