I guess it's finally time I get around to doing this. Only a few mods left - mostly aesthetics such as stripping the tank decals - but other than that it'll be as is for awhile.

BR Custom 16" Apes
Thunderheader 2-1
Arlen Ness Big Sucker
Progressive 412s
TTS Mastertune
Joker Machine fork-mounted LED turn signals
Joker Machine serrated pegs, turn signal, and brake pad
Mustang Wide Vintage Solo
Fatboy headlight
Wide Rear fender

That's all for now. Until I decide what's next, of course.

Overall nice bike bro. No one will notice that's FB
Few question:
-Do you feel a bit hard to control if you use ape hanger with front fat tyre?
-Did you change your strut bar to put wide glide rear fender?
-Is Proggresive 412s good? is it 11" ?

Just thought I'd update where mines at.

I've been all over with this bike. Six months after I got it I went to this:

Attachment 557058

Now 4 years later. .

Attachment 557059

I just want it as reliable and functional as possible. It's quiet, doesn't put off a lot of heat, has the Andrews 48H cams, SE slip ons, lots of storage in the bags. .and I've come around to the stock fender look. I think what it was ultimately missing were the bags and engine guard to offset it. Without those it just looks weird to me. And that Wide Glide fender with the 13" Ricor shocks. .that was hideous.

Replaced, shimmed, shaved that front motor mount, did the alignments, trying to get it as smooth as possible. It buzzes around 3k RPM up to about 3600 RPM. Down below 2900 it's really smooth. No vibes, mirrors are clear. It's just that one spot that it gets buzzy.

I've been pretty involved tuning with TTS, messing with the EGR tables, timing, etc to get it running pretty great. Going to get it really dialed in on the dyno by a guy that knows his stuff this weekend. I attribute the buzz around 3k to the crankshaft having .006 runout, but will know more after the weekend when my AFR is verified in that area.

Mods:

AN Big Sucker w/ K&N filter
Andrews 48H
Smith Bros Adjustable PR's
STOCK tail light (I love the Tri-Bar, but I'm in the "Mine fell off" club and I won't go there again)
Run/stop/tail module for the lights
Fat Boy Lo turn signal housings (gloss black) in the rear
Ricor 13" rear, Intiminators up front
Plasti-dipped items throughout, holding strong a year later
HD Large black mini footboards
HD Speedo/tach with adjustable colors
Lyndall pads front/rear
Detachable sissy bar, the tall black one
Leather Pros 3100 bags

That's about it. Next up. .maybe one of these?

I have been dealing with that 3000-3600 rpm buzz myself. I have tried to tune it out but it doesn't respond to tuning. It feels like a mechanical vibration to me anyway. I took off the V&H Fuel Pak and installed the SEPST and the bike is definitly running much better except for that buzz.

I imagine it's even more annoying for you with that 30T sprocket. .I can manage to stay under 3k most of the time but would love to get rid of that buzz. Or at least move it somewhere else like 4k.

Try change your riser bushing. i used arlen ness bushing and it really help a lot with vibration on your handlebar.
