Friend of mine bought it new in '09 put 4500 miles on it, got in a bind and let me have it for the pay off, $8500.
Vivid Black, just put a set of Commander 2's on it, great so far.
Is there a magic way to clean these damn rims..?

Sorry to go off topic, but what torque numbers? I have the same pipe and every dyno sheet I've seen of it shows a large loss of torque at lower RPM (around 2800RPM where most people cruise). It has a very large, open collector which is meant for high RPM high HP applications. FWIW I put a baffle in mine to restrict it more.

Long 2-1 exhausts are for usable torque (ie D&D Fat Cat 2-1). Short, big open 2-1 exhausts like ours are for high RPM high HP.

Not knocking the exhaust, I like the size/sound of it, just don't think it's worth much in the torque department.

That's a hell of a deal!

Try this link:

I haven't done this to my wheels yet, but it makes sense.

They had a coating on them? Well I done scrubbed that off. Time to break out some flat black paint.

Nah no coating. Wish they did. I bought some Flitz metal polish and they make this chemical which eats through pitting etc but I'm waiting until the day I have the wheel completely apart to try it. .worried it'll mess with the bearing or the loctite on the rotors.

Polish kit Polish kit

Industrial strength pre-clean Industrial strength pre-clean

I tried using the polish with a drill with wheels on the bike, all it did was make a mess. I've also tried using NevrDull metal polish and elbow grease with good results, but still didn't get them the way I wanted. I suspect that Pre-clean above and a nice brush will do the job but will have to wait to try that one out (Can't even get in there with the rotors anyway).

When I bought the Fat Bob I didn't really like it, just couldn't pass it up for the price. It came with a windshield, saddlebags, 4 seats and 2 sissy bars, 4500 miles, excellent shape.
How much is it worth?
I said I didn't really like it but,,it's a fine handling bike, especially now with the commander 2's on it. Daylight and dark difference between them and the stock tires.
