I have a sportech 20" shield. It has the recurve lip on it so it acts like a 22" . Problem is the buffering from lack of width. I'm looking to get a full shield or wait to get a look at Memphis Shades new FXDF fairing due out this summer.

I tried that. It seems most effective and "calm" with the clamps just below the top of the triple trees. Pushed down to the lowest point was good for visibility, the buffeting was worse.

It was pretty bad with the FF helmet on, but not so bad with the Bell. I will have to try it on some longer runs at speed - this was just a quick blast down to the beach and back before work. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Fredepepsi- I am curious what you switched to? I had some serious backpain that I am pretty sure was because of the drag bars, and the reach I have to ride. I have been thinking about getting some 10" apes.

Had same problem too, but switched to a pull-back riser (LA Choppers) and it has definitely helped. I love the form and feel of the drag bars, so I didn't want to lose that - this seemed like a good idea and it worked well.

Well, if we were talking about me I'd have to clarify that it takes two trips. ; )

I'd love to see some pix of your risers to get an idea of the amount of pull back they provide. I have the same issue, my arms are totally stretched out.
