Default 2012 Vivid Black Fat-Bob...

...residing in my Garage. Only had it 2 weeks - my first bike AND I never rode before taking the MSF Course 3 weekends ago. Rode this beauty back and forth to work every day last week. Doing OK for a 56 year-old newb!

P.S. watch that shiny stuff on the tires, could get your paint all scratched up.

Thanks for the compliments on the paint, that is one of the reasons I leaned toward this bike. I've always liked flames and the ember sunglo really turns on in direct sunlight.

Oh and the tire dressing, for sure, I appreciate the reminder. Previous owner did a quick clean up to sell the bike and he painted the tires with that junk. I definitely plan to wash/clean, go over the bike before I take it for the first ride.

And as I mention cleaning the bike, I would like to clean the motor, lots of dust has settled on the black cases of the motor. How do you guys clean the motor? Any tips/tricks? Just soap, water, detail brushes? What is best way to get the dust/dirt off the wrinkle black areas on my Fat Bob?

I just wash mine at the car wash, then ride home and dry with damp towel. Most people think I spend a lot of time cleaning it -- I don't.

Here's mine after going a little darker.
