Corbin Hollywood Solo moves you back. I had the same problem you describe - I ended up going with the narrow Mustang Vintage Solo. Not sure if it moves you back, but I can say that I love it and wouldn't change it for anything.

I use a backrest. You would not believe the difference when you can just handle the bars finger tight instead of hanging on for grim death. A rest takes up all, and I mean all the slide out of this; and makes giving it some stick a breeze.
Ok it doesn't look too good but it's worth it.
All the best

Mustang Vintage and Corbin Hollywood solos both move you back, Mustang also up about 3/4-1", Corbin down about 3/4-1". Both very, very firm until broken in, then just firm! Very comfortable for extended periods and you feel like you are sitting in the bike, not on it. And both very well made - Mustang is top grade black vinyl and Corbin leather with lots of choices, thus a bit more expensive. Can't speak to Lepera or others.

But the Mustand solved the problem we were both having?

For me, yes. Their is a bit more of a 'bucket' feel to it and I find my **** backs up to the padding in the back quite nicely. I used it for a long weekend trip this summer (about 1200miles over 3 days) and was very comfortable the majority of the time - I don't care how great a seat is...sometimes you just need to stand/walk after awhile.
