RE: 11" Progressive on 08 FXDC?
I added the Progressives more for looks as compared to performance. They lowered the rear of my 06 Super Glide about an inch and a half. The lowered version certainly does not handle worse. I tend to believe is handles a little better.
Disclainer: I am not a greatly experienced rider and the handling characteristics may be all in my head and just plain B.S.

Are there any clearence issues when running the 11". I thought I saw a post saying there was an issue with the fender or strut hitting the upper belt guard. Just want to make sure before I order.

Make sure you get the "heavy dutys" not the standard.
I weigh 205lbs or so with my gear on and I put standard 11"s on and with them on the highest pre-load and still bottomed out a lot, enough to blow the seals in one of the shocks.
As for hitting the belt gard if it bottoms out, it will.
