Paint for my sissy bar
Some of you are aware that I am adding a three foot tall sissy bar and rack to my Bob, those that are not aware you now know. I had mentioned using a truckbed liner for paint but it $100 a gallon and all I need two cups! So I'm looking for a textured paint that isblack. I've seen textured spay paint but have never used it and wonder how well it will hold up to bungee strap hooks. Another option that I have thought about is a spray on type rubber paint my neighbor told be about. I think that would handle the straps better than paint but he told it will grey over time. So what I need is opinions on a black textured "paint" that will hold up to straps and stay black.
The bar and brackets are all complete and ready to paint. If I figure out what paint to use I will probably paint and put on the bike this weekend. If I do I will be sure to post pictures.

RE: Paint for my sissy bar
Iagree w/bikerdog134 -powdercoat. They take a lot of abuse - eventie wraps they will mar the paint. Either that or Black Chrome which is a LOT more $$$.
Paint - even urathane w/clearcoat will not hold up - sorry.
I have a home made quick release luggage rack I need to chrome. It's worth the investment.
good luck and provide pics
