you'll be fine....i would recommend the progressive front end kit though ..just makes the bike handle better...noticeably
+1 - have to agree, Progressive springs are a real plus in the handling dept, but you can go with the standard (as opposed to lowering kit) progressive springs as they come with a spacer you can cut down to the exact height you want (ie level front to back).
++1 prefer drop atboth ends

Thanks for the replies, so if I go with the progressive front end as well, I can trim down the plastic that comes with it to drop the front end 1-2 extra inches? Than what is the difference btwn the progressive springs and the progressive lowering kit?

Sorry for the redundent questions, but I just ordered the black lowered progressive springs for the rear and just want to do my bike up right.

Default RE: lowering front and back?

i've got a '04 fxdx and recently changed the std rear springs with the 13's of 412heavy duty progressive just because the rear left got oil leak (stock springs are 13.5). Havent really noticed the handling difference though since the change. I was gonna have the front fork lowered, but guys from the shop say give it a try first, before lowering the front.

Would the leaning angle be significantly that different? Does it affect the braking distance? whats the advantage of installing a fork bra?
