Hey Skip, it's raining outside right now where I am. I don't think it will dry up enough today.

Jay,I bought the complete kit that had the bracket, wire harness, tach and all together. On the parts list in the instructions it says that the part number for the bracket itself is 67338-97. Good luck with your install.

Doug, hey I do have some tools of my own, believe it or not! I'll bet it's cold and wet where you live today!

Damn.............Had no idea the bracket came with the kit. At this rate I probably should have just ordered the whole kit rather than try and piece it together on the cheap. Oh well, live and learn I guess. [:@]

Got the tach and the mounting bracket off Ebay for 16.50.

*****************************

Do you have the part number handy for that bar clamp?
Thats the one I have been looking to put on my bike when I change the gauges.
Jay, what mounting bracket came with the eBay purchase??

And what bar clamp are you askin about??
the one on Mac's install??

Mac, I'm with you, I like the instruments up front.

Function is best, and I like the look.

Picture of mine below. Had to build my bracket
cause of the WG bars and risers.

Too bad the harness runs 90 bucks from Zanottis.
Jay, I don't know if you are set on using the OEM harness or not. In case it offers you an option; I just installed a digital speedo/tach. I ran a wire from the tach wire to spot #3 on the ECM to get a signal. Picked up a terminal from the dealer, crimped it, and ranit through the OEM plug at the ECM. I buried the wiring in a corrugated wire loom under the seat, up the frame under the tank into the neck, then out the side of the neck. It worked out great and was pretty easy to do.

Sorry if I am telling you something you were already aware of.

Mud, I only got the dual housing for the gauges off Ebay. The clamp I was asking about was the bar clamp to replace the exsiting speedo clamp.

Jay,

J&P Cycles has a top clamp. It's chrome. 5000595 Scalloped clamp...$13.99.
If you want a black top clamp. The Sportster roadster top clamp is black and will fit.
I am going to the swap meet here in Cali on the 13th if weather permits. If your interest I'll look for one in black should cost between $1 or $5. Let me know. Not sure whatthe shipping cost would be.

Lou.
