They are worth the 279.00 ... ( Eastern shipped ) I did the pipes with stock baffles, I lost no low end torque but the bike was already tuned for open pipes...The bike run's great and no popping or gurgling with just a little tweaking...The Bassani's sound a little better and the quality is far better..

 

I made some calls found the Bassani Road Rage 2:1 in Black for $499 plus $30 for shipping. The decision is getting easier.

 

Mike... did you check with Eastern there a one day ship to us... I ordered mine Wednesdayat noon and on my door at 10:00 Thursday Morning..There is a 50.00 difference in the short shot price you quoted.. They stock the bassani's also.. Open Monday - Fri only though...

 

Well I thought an update was in order...
I went back and forth on these two options. I finally ordered the VH Short shots staggered in black. I saw some different photos from HDforum members and decided these looked pretty cool. I talked to Trotter he said they sounded good especially with the quiet baffles. I ordered a set on 1/4. I was told they were on backorder until 1/17. On 1/17 I was told they were on backorder until 2/4. Now on 2/4 I'm told they are on backorder until 2/19. I talked to several vendors including Eastern and I even talked directly to Drag Specialties. To have to wait six weeks and still not have a guarantee on delivery was the final straw.

So I called Eastern. They have the Bassani Roadrage 2:1 in Black for $577 (MSRP $750) with free shipping. My new pipes should be here by Friday.

Trotters bike is really nice. The pipe he has in the picture is a Bassani Pro Street. I really like the look of those the best but Bassani doesn't offer the Turn Outs for The Dyna.

 

Which Bike ? There all made by HD.... LOL... But i have been collecting for 35 years...LOL .. The only one I've ever sold was aDyna Street Bob...LOL

 

Mike when you get the pipe, bring it to my shop and I'll tune it for you for Free... I want to see what kind of numbers I can get with that Pipe... You got your SERT right..? Your about 15 min away... Were at Tyson's Corner...Skip

 

Hey Skip thats very cool. Yes, I picked up the SERT. I think i'll get the pipe friday and should have it installed by Wednesday next week. I can drag the bike over next thursday or friday. Whatever works best for you.
