Has any one used or have any insight on the DM Custom wide tire kits for Dyna's or any HD?

RE: wide tires kit 180/200
interesting kit. I've been looking at doing a wide tire too. (check out my comments under the frame swap post about doing a chain conversion.) i'd be curious on what you find.
with regards to why to do this - it's looks i'll admit. . . . however, i don't think you jack the handling up as long as you stay 200 or smaller. i don't want anything too agressive (200 is plenty) - but long, low, and wide in the back end is cool in my book. . . . (but hey, i'm unique - just like everybody else :-)
other kits i've found are:
http://www.customvalley.com/
http://www.cas4.com/Wide-Tire/dyna-style.htm
http://www.bigboarproducts.com/products.htm
http://www.chopper-kit-usa.com/fat_t...rley_DYNAl.htm
feedback on any of these kits would be appreciated.
I've include a excerpt I got back from questions from Big Boar on their kit. Here it is:
In answer to your questions:
You can run a 200 tire with our 180 kit if you use a 2000 - up belt [1 1/8"] and rear pulley.
We generally use Metzler 200mm tires for our kits.
We have a 60-spoke wheel available for $425
The kit comes with a steel fender like the one shown on the black Sportster shown on our website.
When choosing your kit [180 vs 200 vs 240] keep in mind that the wider the tire, the slower the handeling. A 240 would take some getting used to if you were canyon carving. A 200 might be a better choice.
You can use your stock chrome strut covers. We recommend getting your chrome done locally. Costs vary.
As for frame modifications, you must cut off your fender rails, space them out and weld them back on.
The kit's instructions include an exploded view of the trans and engine modifications, as well as the instructions for the fender rail modification.
