Thread Jack:

DomenicP: Thanks for the recent pics! Can you tell me how tall you are, how big is your windshield, when sitting comfortably can you see over the top without trouble, and if you receive any buffeting while riding? I would like to buy a windshield for my bike, but I think I will wait until after I have ridden it before I do.

Thanks,

m.a.c.

Hey Jakeiniraq? Is that a fat rear wheel kit on that? That bike is sweet. I am going to be putting some big radius on mine with a new paint job also. I have a 03 anniversary and sick of seeing 2 million other 100th anniversary paint jobs out there.

Hi Jason, thanks for the compliments. When I changed the wheels to the Performance Torque that I have on it, I went from a 17" to an 18" wheel with a 180 tire. You don't have to pay the $180-$200 bucks that the dealership will try to tell you that you need the fat kit. My dealership used two brackets from the kit for a total of about $40.

I am 5'5" and I can see over the top. If it does buffet when I ride I don't notice it. I am use to not riding with one as I never had one on any other bike I owned but it is so comfortable on the blacktop with it when its cool and for longer trips. It dosn't take away from the look of the bike either. The shield specs:Fits '06-later Dyna® models (except FXDWG, FXDF and FXDSE). Windshield dimensions: Overall height 26.8"; height above headlamp 19.3"; width 19.7".

Clear

Good Luck

Treeextractor............8 1/2 inch fender on the rear after converting to 200mm tire (18 x 5.5 wheel) and chain drive. Fender struts were moved outboard to accept wider fender by cutting and rewelding. Have also achieved this effect by bending the struts to accept wider fender. Autometer 5' Tach with shift light. Seat is LePera Bare bones. Pipes are Bassani Pro Streets.
