Default Must get rid of the football on my 07 Bob!!!

Can someone tell me where to get a Air cleaner kit for a 2007 Street Bob? I hate the look of the football.... I found a K&N kit but is shaped to fit the "football"....I* need some direction on how to get rid of that nasty looking cover...

Many recommend the HD Stage 1 intake w/a K&N filter or the Ness Big Sucker. Check out eBay for decent prices. For non-football a/c cover ideas check out this thread:

If you stay with the existing stock A/C, then you are somewhat stuck with the shape due to the stock backing. If you move up Stage 1 A/C by Ness or the MoCo, then you have a choice between exposed element or covered element. I chose both. I sent my football out to Mudpuddle for the famous "Mud Mod". The link provided will show mud's work https://www.hdforums.com/m_2491646/mpage_3/key_/tm.htm Go to post 96 and you can see mine specifically right after Mud finished the mod. I just put it on today and couldn't be happier. I did purchase a smooth cover that covers the element for those "rainy day" occasions when I want to ride. I always pack that with my tool kit when doing long trips for those unexpected storms.

Your cover looks real nice. Mud is talented.
What is the "smooth cover " you are referening to for riding in the rain?

Thanks Chipstah,
I thought perhaps shorerider was refering to the fabric ones i have seen to keep out the rain. Mine is open all around, I have riden in the rain many times, in a very heavy storm it will suck a little water into the carb. It wont hurt anything, just a PITA when it happens as you temporarily loose power. Feels like you fouled a plug but it clears right up.

The "mud mod" is cool. Another option for the round a/c is any round a/c insert that is sold to go on the stock football - just install without the football. See sig pic and pic below.

I LOVE the football. Looks like a HARLEY!

I have stage 1 with anopen A/c and will keep the football.

Guess I'm a die-hard football fan.

Topspin, Glad to see at least 1 other that likes da football. I like mine, also.

Mud does such nice work though, makes it temping to change the look.
