First off, what's wrong with bimbos??
I don't even care if she has a point of view.
Secondly, those seatsare like hen's teeth.
I have sold some old stuff for astonishing prices.
And, part of the hook, is the pitch.
I pitch my eBay items to the best I can come up with.
A story or a picture makes a world of difference.
This guy has a good thing going
selling his good things.
In the 70s, I had a storefront, it was really more of a clubhouse.

Fix It Too.
Read that anyway you like.
Ebay is great.
It has changed a lot since 1999
when I started buying andselling there as*mudpuddle*
Have a look at that sellers feedback history

Aw, mud I meant bimbo in a good way. Bimbo's are people too. Didn't know that an old Bates seat was worth that much, but I try to learn something new everyday, and today I guess that'smy start.I agree, if you want to sell something,it's all in the 'pitch'. Hell, he'd probably be able to sell ice cubes to the Eskimos, if they were laying out onthat bimbo. Thanks for continuing my education, mud.

Hell yeah, but it went from bimbo
to used and abused
to bittch.
Quick.
The Bates seat is only worth what he can get for it,
and you just never know on eBay.
I remember when Bates was just about the only source.
Lotta folks with obscene amounts of moolah nowadaze.
And if they want somethin they pay up.
I don't blame that guy for askin that much,
or for taking those pictures and exploiting the gals.
I would venture a guess that they appreciate the exploitation.
The name callin was escalating too quick.
Keystrokes are real cheap here on the interJet.
In the real world there ain't nothin cheap.

I'm almost afraid to ask, but how did Sue get her nickname?
My guess is because she tried to ride that scoot without taking off the security chain

it was said that the HDs had a 110% chance of being stolen.
That's cause a lot of them were stolen more than once.
We all had those giant case hardened chains.
and even then you never wanted to be too far from your sickle.
When she was alive,
she was known as SportSterSue.

Cool stuff mud, i love those black and white photos. Have you or have you considered publishing them in some way, its something i,d sure like to see.
Don,t like to be personal but is your brother still in the bike scene, that Panhead (i think)looks sweet in the picture.

Yeah cornish, myself as well.
B/W has always been my favorite format.
I've been compiling all sorts of data for books
on several different subjects for many years.
Haven't had time nor inclination to put it all together.
Maybe, someday.
I understand that nowadaze there are publishers
who will "print on demand".
One at a time, or a hundred,
as they are ordered.
And the brother with that PanHead is still participating,
but I wouldn't classify it as at the scene level.
One too many encounters with cages and asphalt.
He's restoring OldSchoolReal at this time.
It was built right after the machine you mention from above.
Some older pix of it below.
He won't let me take any new pix till it's done.
This red/black machine is Pan lower Shovel upper.
He let a "friend" have it while he was away for a few years,
and the fender etc was changed (the b/w shot below).
